Horizons and New Beginnings at Perpat Beach

In Batu Pahat, our trip for a wedding reception also brought us to the sea. To Perpat Beach, or Pantai Raja Sehari, a favourite destination for newlyweds to capture their wedding photographs.

As I watched the waves unfold against the horizon, I thought of how fitting this backdrop is for a couple starting a new journey together. The sea embodies both mystery and constancy, always changing, yet always there.

For leaders, too, each new horizon demands courage, commitment, and the humility to embrace change.

What struck me most was how the same pull that drew the newlyweds also drew us — to pause, reflect, and realign.

Whether it’s in personal life or professional leadership, the sea reminds us that beginnings are best approached with intention and perspective.
